Upgrading T100 to T108

Hi All

Has Anyone managed to do this succesfully if so can anyone share any info on what flash file to use for english language what equipment is needed Eg cables JIG box ect also what the procedure is and do you need to update any eeprom areas or need any codes to finalise flashing.

I have been informed that all you need is the standard cable that comes with the T100 and a T108 Flash File and when you have finished you enter one or two reset codes but I dont know how true any of this is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

regards
Charlie

Hi ptodic

The Differances between T100 and T108 are quite a few, Number one being able to receive text reports when you send a message as this is not available to pay as you go customers, also you have a real cool feature of having an answering machine built into the phone so you wont have to pay anyone to retreive your voice mail anymore.

Yes odyssey I think you are correct this is a china phone but I beleive it has the english language and t9 dictionary but of course this is what I am asking so I could be wrong.

Charlie

Wintdn

Using WinTdn to flash the phone will be ok. Select Binary + Ogm.

If can't flash complete just need to charge ur battery full.

If phone dead don't worry, just flash axf first and then ogm.

hi all

OK thanks to all who have helped in this thread,
I think I have everything I require but is there no checksums to calculate after flashing, and if there is how do I calculate if I dont have a JIG box or is there no security checksums in flash, if I need JIG box then I will aquire it but I would rather know before I attempt it.

ANY BODY KNOW PLEASE!

regards
charlie

PS Any one know how to check/workout what firmware you have in phone if you type *#8888# it gives you lots of figures eg: T100 05.05 MP 27.00 but what the hell does this mean.
