New E720 unlock Clip? - GSM-Forum

I got a new E720 unlock clip and unlocked three phones all brand new with no problem, and then I got other two and on the first attempt on both phones none unlocked. On the second attempt one of them unlocked and after a few more attempts the other one is still unlocked. I wondered if any one please could tell me why this should happen.

Need not use Unlock Clip!!! E810 cable with Imei E720. OK 100%

I have a new cable and WinImei E720 but the software I faulty, is this what you mean I should do? Other than that I am not sure what you mean.

Best solution I have found is:
1.Put the wrong sim in the phone
2.Connect the clip
3.Power on the phone
4.Phone may or maynot be unlocked at this point
5.If not unlocked, leave clip in
6.Switch phone off
7.Switch phone back on again.
8.Phone should now be unlocked.

Tested on latest Orange UK Stock by my friend "anduin" on this forum who told me this solution.
