Where is the eeprom address for the Agere platform phones

May I know where is the EEPROM address for all the Agere Platform phoones?

If i'm not mistaken, the EEprom is inside a FULL FLASH. Am i Right? Please confirm / correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm using UFS to read the full backup which is 16,385 kb, in S3t / *.bin format. But i don't know where is the EEPROM area...

Please assist

Thanks In Advance!!!!!

For sure eeprom is within range 000000-00FFFF, because firmware begins at 010000. But there is and something else. I suppose there is some kind of loader too. And maybe something else.

Thanks for your reply Mr. Bobi,

First I read the fubu for backup using UFS. And secondly I simply change the IMEI to 123456789012345 and the imei is changed. Then when i write back the FUBU to the phone, the Imei is back to its original.

Does this means the readed FUBU of 16,385 kb in *.S3t / *.bin format CONTAINS the EEPROMS 100%?

Thanks In Advance!

Thanks Mr. ELCO.

In OPTIFLASH, there is 2 option to read ranges from 0x00000000 - 0x00001fff and 0x00004000 - 0x00ffffff, but each time after finish reading the flash, it's almost 50MB. How am i to specify the ranges just to read the EEPROM?

0x00000000-0x00FFFFFF are addresses for full flash for all models except D410 & P730.
0x00000000-0x00FFFFFF + 0x01000000-0x01FFFFFF are addresses for full flash for D410 & P730.
For E600 I'm not quite sure that full flash must be 0x00000000-0x01FFFFFF. I've looked in firmware file of E600 and there is no flashing over 0x00FFFFFF address.
Eeprom is at addresses 0x00000000-0x0000FFFF.

If u will read flash from E600 using adress 0x00000000 - 0x01FFFFFF & u will open file with editor,u will see that region over 0x01000000 its not empty. All Agere new phones have 32Mb flash chip ->98Mb *.s3.If phone have 16Mb flash chip & u select read adresses for 32Mb flash chip u will see that optiflash will give error on reading flash.

@Elco
I agree with you. I don't say E600 have only 16MB flash, it's 32MB - no doubt. But I think that in second 16MB is not firmware, it's (maybe) user memory. So for full backup for revivng we need only first 16MB, not the whole 32MB. In original firmware file for E600 there is no flashing after 0x01000000, so I think there is no need to backup second 16MB.

Thanks Mr Bobi for u infomation.

I use UFS flasher and i tried to read a E630C and the FUBU in MCU is 16,384 KB. And i read the TFS and its around 33,792 KB. So i think what Mr. Bobi says might be right! It might be only a user memory.

And X460C, i can only read the MCU, i can't read the TFS.

E630 and X460 are not Agere phones, they are Sysol. Full backup for them is 16MB but eeprom is in end of this 16MB. And TFS is for sure user memory but it is read in separate file. In Agere system backup file is only one.
