i think 26MHz Oscilator?

If 26 Mhz NOT works, the Mobile dont switch on.
It is the main clock for the S-Gold (E-Gold)
The mobile has a current-consumption of 10-13mA while trying to switch on.

If 26Mhz frequency is out of range (means, the S-Gold can't regulate it via AFC -[AutomaticFrequencyControl] couse of wrong AFC-Values stored in FLS, or defective cristal, or to high or to low tempeature or broken AFC-track) the Mobile cant Sync to BaseStation (BS) and you have no Network or a ! symbol in front of the providername in the display.

Sorry , thats not right.
I've worked in Kamp-Lintfort, but I was fired in July 2004 after 6 1/2 years.
And I've worked for CS in Karlstein - 3 Months in a ServiceCenter - and of couse I've repaired Siemens phones there.

My knowlege is old...and this forum help me to remember - and not forget my old knowledge.

Now I work with 100 years old telephone lines... - but this is in Duisburg and not near Frankfurt (CS).

But I hope everytimes that my old knowledge can help you.
