IMEI 000000000000000 with Griffin??? - GSM-Forum

Can I repair IMEI 000000000000000 of DCT3 phones just with Griffin. Please help me. I have one 3310 with light software problems (Contact Service), but I have accidentally written the PMM too, and now the phone has the IMEI 000000000000000. I tried writing flash file .FLS with the PMM only option and adjusting the start and end addresses and the Repair IMEI button checked, but no success. Is it possible to do this with Griffin?

Griffin is too fancy for DCT3 flashing...

yes... eeprom work, but imei still 000000000000000000. he talk about how rebuild imei dct3 with griffin.

rename it to exe use normal MBUS cable it works long long time ago !!

You are wrong, and I can show you.
Griffin can WRITE/CHANGE IMEI on DCT3.

I just tested on a 8210.
Flashed EEProm only, changed 14th digit from a 9 to a 0 (was ...694, i put as ... 604), checked the Repair ??? box, and pressed flash.
Flashed the PMM part, IMEI gone to ...?????4 then repaired to ...603 (because of the checksum) and is OK.
I leave pictures attached showing how I did.

Easy:
1 - Flash EEprom (set PMM Only), check Repair ??? box and write the IMEI manually on right.
2 - Press Flash, will flash PMM part, will make your IMEI as ???? but after will repair it.

If your ***** was of the same size of your brain, you wouldn´t say nonsenses... or at least wouldn´t became an Anti-Griffin advertiser.

yes it is possible with griffin... flash pmm only with pmm only checked and repair imei checked (input orig imei in the box provided)

I know that I can repair this phone very easy with old legendary tools like Rolis, etc, but the problem is that I don't have the flash cable for Nokias, I just have the Unibox M-Bus cable and Griffin, that's why am I asking how to do this with Griffin, because I have never succeeded to do this with Griffin.

Anyway, I will try tomorrow drugstore's solution and post the results.

Finally I succeded to repair this phone using Griffin. I always thought that Griffin is bad for DCT3 phones, but this is not the reality, Griffin is powerful device. This is the trick how I did it. Analyzing the flash addresses of DCT3 phones at this website http://www.unlockme.co.uk/addresses.html, I saw that Griffin is not putting the right address for PMM, so I changed manually to the address of EEPROM that is shown on this website and everything worked.

EEprom address are wrong?
That´s weird, I never had to put the address manually, for now and in 2.0861 for me is all ok with the address. But maybe on some models are wrong... Can´t be 100% sure, because I didn´t test all dct3 models... anyway.

Yes, we all must admit that earlier Griffin versions like 2.02 / 2.03 were not very good with DCT3 platform, but now is quite good
