I bought this cheap usb bt dongle, and I've tried a couple things to get bluesoleil to recognize the device. I've tried to to change/remove the MS stack inf, I've uninstalled all old drivers from my device manager, and I even tried to mess with the inf of bluesoleil. My vid and pid is 0000; when i plug in the dongle i get a pop-up that says the device is malfunctioned, but then it says the hardware is installed and ready to use. I'm so confused. Can someone please give me some advice? Is my dongle impotent? --------Edit---------------------------------- Okay, this is embarassing, but I didn't plug the dongle in all the way, but even after I jammed it into the usb port (which is bad) bluesoleil still doesn't connect to the device. It says "Starting My Bluetooth..." for a couple seconds, then it says "Please insert bluetooth device". In Device Manager, when I click on properties it says it can't start because of a "Code 10". It's not digitally signed. I tried to update the driver manually, but that didn't do jack. Any suggestions?
