I have an MSI Star Key 2.0 and the firmware version is 2.3.14.0. Don't know if that's later than the others?

A2DP bliss

hi

Having been away from this forum for sometime I was very happy to see that my problem, intermittent sound using my stereo heaphones, had been circumvented.

So after sleeping on it I decided this morning to flash my Acer 9113's 2045 chip using the flashing tool provided by lexab65 and the firmware subsequently provided by cheops2006 and now my Acer reports it has an ANYCOM Blue USB-UHE 200/250 with the updated firmware. I'd already updated the drivers last night to the latest 5.1.0.3100.

Now my A2DP works perfectly. Thanks guys.

I've just emailed Acer Europe and Acer Thailand (that's where I bought it) asking for updated firmware.

Now I have to decide whether to do the same to my Dell Trumobile 355 device (firmware 2.1.130.218) which although the A2DP works ok, I guess once flashed I would be able to use btwinitialupdate.exe to keep the drivers up to date.

cheers
damole

Do you think it's a good idea to flash my CSR bluetooth with the Broadcom firmware. I would really want to use it with the Widcomm Drivers.

Hello jmgraham
safecom SBTB3M-1100 dongle is a CLASS 1 dongle and firmware you use is CLASS 2.
You need to download ANYCOM follow the instruction to get USB-250 firmware which is class 1 dongle too.

I think I asked this question before but how do you know which class your device is?

Wow! 2.3.x? When did you purchase it? Have you tried it with A2DP? Does it work fine in A2DP? I wish I knew how to tell you how to extract that fw, so that you could share it w/us...

Try this one (i.e. see below). It didn't help me much though...

I think we should make sure what the exact chip model is in that dongle as such a big change in firmware version might imply a new revision of the chip.

shows up now as anycom, my BT light even flashes when their is activity where it was just solid blue before.

is it really necessary to hack the crap out of my laptop to get it to work properly? almost every driver i have installed is some kind of hacked installation. but it works perfect.

Didn't you realize by now that we've been had? That we've been turned into beta testers by an incompetent industry that rushes half-baked merchandise into retail channels? (By "we" I mean we, the end users.)

I bought this during Christmas time. I haven't touched the firmware so I'm guessing it came shipped with version 2.3.14.0. And A2DP works perfectly with it. If you show me how to backup the firmware into a DFU file, I can upload it here for everyone.

I guess it wouldn't hurt first to make sure that what you have there is indeed a Broadcom 2045 chip.
