3230 ring problem - GSM-Forum

can any one give me solution for 3230 ring volume is very low.is it software problem or hardware.because it is a new abrand phone.other engineer can repaire this problem by software is it right or wrong. if it is right then give me solution how can i repaire. thanks

To identify if is hardware or software problem you can do:

- change speaker (if you have another phone or a known good speaker) , if sound level is normal >> speaker damaged , ifproblem persists >> check pcb (resistance between speaker pads are more than hundred Kohms and between speaker pads and ground is very big, check for approximate value in service manual or on another pcb) , also clean speaker pads .If pcb is ok >> then try fullflash the phone with mcu,ppm,cnt,pmm (backup your pmm before flashing) and if problem persist than look like UEM problem (UEM amplify the ringtone for speaker).
