I9300 Stuck in UART Mode After eMMC Repair

Hi there,

Does anyone have a solution for I9300 which is stuck in UART mode after eMMC repair? I have around 3 pieces like this after eMMC is replaced. Device freezes and locks up while in PDA setting and reboots. After it is in UART mode only (*#7284#).

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. U506 does indeed become unsoldered and need replacement but in this case, it is not my problem. It must be some other voltage overload component that is damaged from heating causing this issue as the phone tries to boot with standard PDA mode enabled in *#7284# settings, then freezes and crashes and reboots with UART mode enabled instead which is also very unstable.

Yes - probably you can check nearby PMIC generated voltages - sometime happening - i'm in fighting now to find what is missing on one SGS3 that cannot catch network due to not see CP part after EMMC replacement ...

It seems the issue I'm having is related to CP not getting sufficient power from some source. It is causing it to lag the system and crash it and switches from PDA to UART. Also locks up when the screen is off for an extended period of time.

End result I believe is poor grounding of CP NAND chip within eMMC chip.

I have same problem as you, after replacing an EmmC, no more CP.

I have tried to replace the chip without result..
