good work bro.,

diode = open circuit
coil = ?

what happend to coil ? is is shorted or opend ?

PS:
you can use even most schotkey diodes that used in phone's SMPS if their voltage and Amp values are similar or higher.

if you have precious small equipments, you can re wind these coils. its easy than you think.
