c905 charging problems - battery drains quickly

Hi all!

This is a great forum and it's my first thread!

I have a c905 that only charges to 20-30% then either crashes or there is a "charging error - stop charging" message. Sometimes the battery level reads 100%, even though it is obviously not full. The battery drains within 15 minutes (at 20% level).

It is not a battery problem, as I've checked it in another phone and it works fine. I've also tried charging the battery in an external charger and putting it back into the phone. The c905 doesn't even turn on then!! It's like it cannot deal with a full battery....

So you guys are my last hope. Is there any hardware mod I can try out to solve this problem (like a jumper lead or something...)? When the phone is on, it works fine.

I've checked the site for a c905 solution but there isn't one - could I use a hardware fix from another phone with similar problems?

Thanks

Rich.

Hi, I have a similar problem on a C905. It shows charging, but after a while it says charging error. The battery indicator shows empty, but the actual batt voltage is 3.89 volt. Tried other battery and charger, but no joy. Could this be a software issue?
