K500_K508 keypad ic bypassing - GSM-Forum

here is solution for damiged or broken ic of k500 key pad ic look it and do it and post result.

it is hand made picture but it will be helpfull.

scratch center line of balls with snaper or blader care fully and make connection between balls just like shown in picture.

tested on k500 and k508.

and after this cant put back glass ic and dont have anew one any help to put back glass ic??

joystick working ok on all sides???

if yes then its ic prob ,

if joystick too not working then search for k500 keypad ways

you can get the keypad i.c. from 6600 near the lcd

please people why to bypass this ic? t's easier to replace it than to do 10 bypass lines. and it's a very chip ic!!!
this solution is helpfull if you have broken pads on the right side.

Check first if you can get a resistance reading from those not working keys. If none, you probably have a broken line from keypad contact to filter ic. I recommend keypad ic bypassing solution for this for easier jumpering. Else, you might have a broken soldering underneath your CPU. Solder reflow could solve your problem.

this solution is working 100% i have repaired many sets you need to check all keys matrix keys ways and check carefully that no one track is touching to ground or to other track.

you can get keys ways for k500 k508 just use search button.

better you change glass ic but when some points are broken or damage this is only way this depend on your skills that but this is working all keys ok.

On k508 Joy stick Moved Only 2 Way.

I Advise You save Your Eyes and Apply,

The Ic Save The Time. It,s Not Costly.
