K550i changed display, now contrast is really bad - GSM-Forum

Hi!

I recently bought a new display for my k550i since my old one was cracked (well atleast 1/3 of the display was). The installation went super smooth but then i realised that the new display was alot brighter than the old one / the contrast levels are really bad (the colors look washed out).

Anyone know how to change the contrast levels on the k550i?

I have tried:
- Changing the brightness level in settings (only comes down to 50% which is still too bright).
- Flashing to the newest firmware with SE update tool and doing a total reset in the SW.
- Checking the service menu for brightness / contrast adjustments but there seems to be none for this phone

what could be wrong? faulty display? If i put my old display back in the phone the brightness/contrast levels are as they should be. Or could it be that the new screen is made for "newer" models of my phone?

Please help!
