I resolve this fault with a P900.
I think that similar phone; try to replace the transistor situate in top-left of boar, this transistor names "GFxx" (3 pins ) it find in Ericsson T28 near the charging connettor.

try check your phone transistor unit close to your phone charging port again, using microscope lenes.

this is the way

you most remove the small ic near the charge connector and make shortcut

you can see that with the attach pic

and dont forget return the ic again it`s had way but ok ...

if u dont return the ic the phone is stell say hands free ...

you must try to remember the actual removing position , you started from or else, you are into trouble.

try read and record datas on the ic's, you are removing. ok.

for better result from your application.

and this is very clear way

and you can try this whay`s without this ic the phone is chargeing but saya
hands free ..... however make this short cut and put the ic again

all well be okkkk i try it with more than 50 phone

the same way with t610 and t630 ....

I have same problem; battery drains in >5mins from full. (tried 2 batteries)

I see that the solution was to replace the capacitor that cat10 suggested?

I take it that IC = capacitor?

Where is that capacitor in the picture? + where can I get the replacement part, or rather what exeact component is it?

Alternatively do you know how much independant repair might cost?
