Sony Ericsson T610 problems, no charge, not a problem with battery or adapter - GSM-Forum

Hello,

I am trying to repair this phone for a friend, as there are numbers that need to be retrieved from the phone and were not on the SIM. The phone will not charge whatsoever, and I have tried both a new battery and adapter, so the problem seems to be neither of these. I opened up the casing and gave it a clean, still no luck. Does anyone have any theories?

are there any continuity from system connector pads?

I am not sure exactly what that means, as I do not know that much about electronics.

When attempting to charge, the red light on the joystick will be, or at least was quite dim,but no charge seemed to be getting to the phone.
