Actually at the beginning the backlight was on but no display . Yes, do exactly the same jumper on this fuse near the LCD connector.
Works!

I have a working Display but no backlight after screen replacement. For z3c the fuse was marked with a V according to some internet sources. Is it the par also marked with V on your photo? What should I let it replace with? Bridging would not be my preferred solution as it might have a function which apparently has already been used :-)

Thank you very much!

Florian

Just took my 5€ multi meter and checked the two devices marked with L and V. While L gives me a resistance towards 0 ohm, V gives me infinite resistance. So apparently this is the fuse responsible for the backlight on Z5 Compact. Is there an exact replacement? Somewhere else I read that a 0 Ohm 63mA resistor would do the same job.

Thanks

Flo

i am more interested in that one with "L".
can it be replaced by some similar component from, for example an Z3 compact donor board, which i have here?

i tryed first to brigde the L and A fuses, because no backlight and it worked, i got the screen back on, but then i noticed this issue:

Fehler - Sendvid

if the lcd is off, for few minutes, or longer, after i turn it on again, it shows those strange green issues for few seconds and then the green color disappears. the display is working normaly and those green issues are not showing again, while lcd is on. if i turn it off and leave the phone for 10 minutes again, when turning the lcd back on, green issue are there again.

then i took V fuse from my Z3 compact donor board and replaced the brigde on the z5 compact board with it. no changes, i still had the green screen issue...
then i took the second V fuse from Z3 compact board (the one for the vibra), replaced the other bridge with it (those one where originally the L fuse was). lcd and backlight still working, but i STILL have the green screen issue!

now i am out of ideas... is maybe some other component faulty? or do i really need that L fuse, to get rid of those green "things" ?

any help would be appreciated!
