Question Xperia U - digitizer not working

Hi!
I have a Sony Xperia U (ST25a) and recently got some problems with the digitizer, with lots of dead spots on the screen. I decided to fix it myself, and bought the required hardware: new digitizer, sticker and spacer sticker.
Following a YouTube video, I managed to replace the digitizer, but all the right-third of the screen was dead. I opened the handset again, removed and reconnected the digitizer connection, but now the whole screen won't work
The spacer sticker overstretched a bit on the top-right corner of the screen, can it be related?
Also, it seems that the battery is draining faster now, even with the screen off, but I couldn't test it further.
Any leads on what might be happening?
Thanks!
