no smart clip dongle found cant find solution - GSM-Forum

Hi
Well, my smart clip is new!
i did everything to try to install, but for me it's impossible
reinstall windows xp---> no smart clip dongle found
reinstall drivers ---> no smart clip dongle found
i install scard driver
reboot pc
conect smart clip and scard to pc (SC to lpt, SCARD to usb)
go to update zone, but ALWAYS no smart clip dongle found
i have already sent email to support but they don't give me a solution
pls i think this is a harware problem
i have already installed PortTalk, then try again but no success---> no smart clip dongle found
i am from argentina i need a quick solution 'cause i have to work and i cant do it! so please help me with this or give me a new working box/dongle or wathever is damaged
i think you are a G R E A T team, the best, you do the best, great updates, so don't dissapoint me, help me whit this SC, it is new! i've never used it! i'm so desespered!

Warning: make sure you use power adapter!

Firmware version: 1.24
login... OK
Server firmware version 4.07
Clip warrany period: starts with the first firmware update
EEPROM test succesfull, reporting... OK
Checking dongle... failed
No Smart-Clip dongle found
Please connect dongle and try again

All things look ok as u mentioned,seems u've not considered one thing:

USE PROPER POWER SUPPLY.12V IS PREFERRED.

i use 12 v 800 ma power adapter
i think i will send it back to gsm server

i'm very new to smart-clip can anyone help me my smart clip is not working at all i think i may do some mistake,
whenever i try to update it i'm getting this error (checking dongle... failed.Smart clipt dongle not found.
please connect dongle and try again.

EEPROM test Successfully reporting...OK) and when i try to open smart clip software from my PC, once i click on Search botton it says smart-clip not found

@ sohailba,

Please make sure that:
1. Firewall on your computer (or your LAN) is configured properly or disabled
2. LPT port settings are set to EPP in BIOS
3. Your LPT cable works properly
4. You use a stable power supply with your clip (use power adapter 12V 750mA)
5. If you are using WinXP, log in as Administrator or any other account with administrative rights
6. Reinstall drivers for the S-Card and restart your PC

To run a new SmartMoto under WinXP also to update a Smart-Clip please
launch the SmartMoto, open Smart-Clip bookmark & tick the option "Disable OS parallel port polling (requires reboot)".
After that restart you PC.
Also set LPT options in SmartMoto to compatibility

pls it is really difficult to me sending my scard back to ukrain!

Unfortunately your S-Card can not be repaired. It has to sent to us for replacement.

hi make sure your s card dongle is pushed right in with your finger. mine will not read unless held in.
