How to make Testpoint USB Cables

Ive seen instructions for unlocking phones such as the ROKR without battery but i also want to know if theres a wire for the L7/v3x (mini-usb) cable that is compatible with the smart clip so we can unlock phones without battery. Can someone give me thorough instructions on making this:

Just open the plug up and solder wherever you can! I did mine in a hurry, and i now have the plug with 2 wires hanging out of it which I twist together when I need the repair cable Crude but it works.

for the forced boot mode I use mini spst toggle switch and drilled hole in side of plug and put switch there (same as supplied with MSS4 and I cant see any reason why you cant have switch on either side. But dont know how to put on mini usb socket unless you just use the wire method as descibed and attach to cable with glue gun

Unlocking Motorola ROKR and others with the same port with the testpoint method without having a battery connected. Some forum members have confirmed it worked with the smart clip

Ok but still i want to mod the cable into a cable that powers the phone. For example with the cable i can unlock the Motorola ROKR without putting a battery and then i can see the testpoint clearly and i am able to unlock the rokr without a battery in place. The whole arangment of holding a battery and holding the testpoint and clicking in smartmoto requires you to have a few hands but when i unlock it by myself i use ruberbands to hold everything in place except to ground the testpoint so the battery almost covers the testpoint area and its hard to work. This cable would cut my unlocking time in 1/2. It only takes me about 30mins to do each testpoint phone

I understand what you are saying....
You don't have to connect pins 13&14, this is only good for old phones because phone will come on once you connect tp and power(either battery or cable)

I cant see how it could work with the mini usb connector as the +v is already connected to charging pin unlike connector above
