Member: 655243 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Z3 Unlock using Testpoint Adaptor URGENT I have a Z3 to unlock for a customer. I've removed the back cover. When I bought my Smart-Clip, I bought the Testpoint adaptors set and I got hte Z3 testpoint adaptor with me. It's this one: (http://gsmserver.com/cables/cable_details.php?id=8594) Where do I put this adaptor to do the TP? A photo would be good And then do I go into smartmoto, select unlock, and unlock via tp? Help!! |

Member: 655243 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Ok, I'm downloading the new SmartMoto because the old version said to update. Then I will check the phone information in SmartMoto to see if the boot version is AC0 or AC3. If it is not, how do I do the TP? I have the testpoint adaptors but I can't find any instructions on how to use them or where to put them, and no one else seems to be using them...? |

Member: 655243 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Ok ... there's another problem now. My smart-clip box is connected (with power supply and parallel connection to PC), and the red power light is on and the yellow/green E/G light is on. When i click 'connect' in smartmoto, the lights on the box turn off, and then smart-moto says smart-clip not found!. The lights on the box come back on after a few seconds. Why?! I have updated my smart dongle and the smart-clip, and the update software finds the dongle and clip without a problem. Why doesn't smartmoto find my clip? It finds my dongle, just not my clip. I have polling disabled on the parallel port. I'm using SmartMoto 3.07 European. |

Member: 229997 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 636 | @ MeeM, Please make sure that: 1. Firewall on your computer (or your LAN) is configured properly or disabled 2. LPT port settings are set to EPP in BIOS 3. Your LPT cable works properly 4. You use a stable power supply with your clip (use power adapter 12V 750mA) 5. If you are using WinXP, log in as Administrator or any other account with administrative rights To run a new SmartMoto under WinXP also to update a Smart-Clip please launch the SmartMoto, open Smart-Clip bookmark & tick the option "Disable OS parallel port polling (requires reboot)". After that restart you PC. Also set LPT options in SmartMoto to compatibility Best Regards Smart-clip team www.smart-clip.com www.scoutdongle.com www.GsmServer.com www.boot-loader.com www.smart-unlocker.com |

Member: 655243 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I guess my next question would be: does anyone have the Motorola testpoint adapters? If so, how do you know where to put them on the phone? And what procedure do you need to follow to unlock the phone? (ie when to put it on the phone, when to press the red button, etc.) |

Member: 655243 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Ahh ok .. so you disassemble the phone, remove the LCD screen and disconnect it from the board, and put the Testpoint Adapter on the LCD connector on the board. That's what I needed to know. Thanks for the instructions. Will use them when the next V3 or Z3 comes in |
