SC box gets hot with 12v 1000 mah adapter
 

My box gets hot with 12v 1000 mah adapter. Why?
Box is about 4 years old.

All SC gets hot with 12v but 100% funcional, u better use 9v!

9v adapter gives me clip communication failed when I use search button.

why you not buy a new one..

think it 4 years, how many $$$$ that you already earn it????

Hehehe, But stills alive. And want to keep it until the end...

So, will be a problem, if the box gets hot?

if U are using 12v, your ma should 750 only.

In order to have you Smart-Clip properly functional, please use 10v, 1A or 12v, 750mA. If you are going over this values it can harm the hardware of your Clip.

Using SC since 2004 (purchased then only to unlock T720 and V60!) ....12V battery bank supply at 3,360 AMPS!
Only one major problem of note....worn out top unlock button !

I get another new 9v 500mah adapter and now works o.k. not very hot, and no more clip communication failed problem.
