v180 not unlocking! - GSM-Forum

Guys,

Got a few v180s here, never had a problem with my smart clip before must of unlocked 200+ in the past month with the new updates But I can't unlock the v180s!
Any one got any ideas, it just stayss on the red lights! I need these unlocked asap.

Please get back to me.

I just unlocked two V180s yesterday. Initially it gave me the red light when I had low battery charging. BUt it worked when I charged the battery fully.

Maybe that's the problem, I dont' think that could be any problem with new update...check the battery as Amigo_rk told you.

Yep that was the problem. Managed to unlock them now. Had to buy another battery.

You can connect the charger at the same time as the USB cable on the v180/v220/etc. This will eliminate the problems with low battery.

specifically:
Motorola V180/V220/C65x/C38x (newer versions) unlocking noteUnlocking newer versions of V180/V220/C65x/C38x may require
additional user intervention.
It may happen that E/G led still blinks after display turns off - it means that you have to turn the phone ON manually after preserving 2-3 second delay; alternatively you can try to unlock this newer version of V180/V220/C65x/C38x with battery charger on

I have some new v180s that will not unlock with the latest 2.15 version on a SmartUnlocker. The red light just stays solid and the phone does not go into boot mode. I have tried unlocking the phone while it is plugged in.

Check the bootloader & software version & let us know. Also try to make a backup from it..
