v3 blank screen after flash

Hi guys,

I tried removing a RSA on a v3 v8.26 with my smart clip and moto software, somthing went wrong and the handset was dead. It kept saying blank neptune ?

I have repaired the PDS and flashed R374_G_0E[1].40.79R_lp0034_full_flash.smf onto the handset. Now it turns on but had a blank screen. it makes all the noises and the external screen displays things(although there is no back lights working).

Please help I have a very upset customer and it is only fair i fix the problem.

I appreciate your help

cheers

intouchce

Hello intouchce,

At www.boot-loader.com there are new flash files for Motorola V3 RAZR cell phone.

R374_G_0E.42.07R_A
R374_G_0E.42.08R_A
R374_G_0E.42.0CR

Those files could be used as a solution for the handsets with nonworking internal display after flashing with 9CR version of flash file.

this happend to me today, it HAS to be a new bug in smart-moto program..
i have unlocked over 1000 v3s with NOT ONE issue...

today i took a v3, straight out of the t-mobile box. connected it to smart-clip and ran smart-moto.. i searched and it found the phone just fine..
i went to the unlock tab and chose v3 8.26 and remove rsa..

it did its thing and said the phone was ready to unlock.. so i pushed the unlock button on smart-clip..
it did its thing and the phone switched on and the green light lit up.

now i powered off the phone, inserted the sim card, powered back on the phone and nothing happened.. the phone was completely dead..

tried new battery, checked sim card, checked everything and the new v3 is dead...

i took the v3, pushed power + * and # to get it into boot mode..

went to repair, and repaired the phone and full flashed it with the same firmware that came on the phone from the box..

the phone then powered on and returned to normal..

if it was a customers phone with stuff on it and i have to flash it and they loose the stuff they get mad. please check into this.

@aarons6

It just makes me wonder: if it was a brand new handset as you say

so, how come it had a customer stuff on it already? Sounds a little strange..

Secondly. Just recently unlocked one of them (V3, boot 8.26) without any trouble.

I suggest all went wrong due to the low charged phone's battery...

this is the flashfile i used in reviving dead V3 or blinking keypads "DOWNLOAD HERE" file is around 27mb

you may use RPS for much stable supply so you will not think that you might get a "low charged" battery.

no im saying if it was a customers phone that had stuff one it and it does this then it would be a bigger problem..

it could have been a battery issue except i keep a fully charged battery for unlocking..

i do this because most of the time my customers bring in dead phones.
they also want it unlocked now, so i just have a battery for ever phone.

i have unlocked alot of these phones without too many issues, but since the last update im seeing more people saying that the phone fails to restart durring the RSA removal and now i have had this first hand.

tmobile did just come out with a new firmware.. its it has _A after the numbers. perhaps it has something to do with that?

this is a new problem.
