cant install new nec unlocker for313.616 etc - GSM-Forum

hi all,

i have a new nec unlocker which i bought through agents in the uk, i have tried to install the software on 4 computers, and i am still having a problem. at the moment i am using p4 acer laptop on xp and the message i am getting is lpt dongle initialisation error.

can someone help

faulty dongle, give it back.

if you have a DELLl machine try on that...

that dongle is really working on 1 out of 10 systems,, i know

check you printer/lpt port config in the bios settings.....ecp/epp/bi....try them one at a time

i have just tride today several times it came on once now i am getting this message:

USB dongle ERROR - 0000000000000000
LPT dongle FOUND.
LPT dongle Initialization Step1 ERROR!
LPT dongle Initialization Step2 ERROR!
Done.

any help guys

Hi ignore the dongle test program , I get error with that ! and my dongle is perfect . make sure you run the latest software , if you got a cd full of the software look for the 1.43 or above and try that .

Download the latest software it might help depending on when you recieved the dongle.
However the LPT dongles are hypersensitive and can easily be damaged.

The software is good but the dongle is another matter. The author has however uploaded warnings regarding this on his website.

The most important caution for the dongle is:

AVOID STARTING OR SHUTTING DOWN PC WITH LPT DONGLE PLUGGED IN. DONT MISTAKENLY START SOFTWARE TWICE OR WHEN YOUR SYSTEM HANGS, TAKE OUT THE DONGLE BEFORE ENDING THE PROGRAM FROM TASK MANAGER (CTRL + ALT + DEL )
