error windows 7 mtk connection OTSMART - GSM-Forum

i get almost every day this error on windows 7 when i try to do alcatel, some alcatel works, some dont

Using library Brom_DLL_v7.1813.3
Searching phone in normal mode;
[connect the phone powered off to the usb cable]
Phone detected (MediaTek USB Port (COM3))
Preparing to start flash mode;
Preparing to open COM3
ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_FAIL
ERROR: BOOT_PHONE;

what is the cause mostly that on some windows 7 and 8 works out and some dont?

Because probably you dont read what the soft tells you. Some models must be connected with volume down pressed ! Seems thats the reason of that error. Also i cant help more if you dont mention the excat model. But ptobably is that. Wrong way to conenct it
