Why to add an model already supported. You can see that phone has MTK cpu and is supported on MTKReader and not on PACK 5

Hi,

I have installed MTK USB com port driver but it is not recognising the Y520-U12 I am trying to unlock.

Please advise which drivers to use.

To explain more..

What I did is switched off phone with battery inside.
In MTKReader_v1.0.0.600 I selected the phone. Huawei and model..
Hit Read code and then plugged in switched-off phone..

and I am stuck here..

Searching phone;
Phone detected (@oem82.inf,%mtk_preloader%;PreLoader USB VCOM Port)
Preparing to start meta mode; 
Searching for debug port; (be sure drivers from support were installed)

..and nothing happens after that.

I have installed the following drivers
driver_Huawei
MTK USB com port driver

Would be grateful if anyone can let me know what I am missing out.

The cdc drivers left uninstalled on the Device Manager. I can help you to do that over skype

You need to reboot the pc as well after installing the drivers
