Do I need external power to unlock a W550i with cruiser cable?

Yes do you need, but W550 possible to unlock with DCU-60 cable too.

that is incorrect. you cannot unlock w600 or w550 with dcu-60 cable. You can only Flash.

Ok, you're right, not released yet 2.03 version on which it's possible, so i must edit my post, sorry

Anyway i've a beta from it, tested and worked with dcu-60 cable

that's right, now that v2.03 is out dcu-60 cable unlocking is possible for w600 and w550

I'll be uploading that new version to my website and updating my supported models list.
