No more "Power on" on K700i...

...after an almost completed firmware upgrade.

Hello Everyone (Murphy, Vee and anyone else supporting TMS)

Here's my curriculum vitae (at least a part of it form yesterday):

I wanted to upgrade my k700i to R2ae033 which went well. At least I thougth so, but upon restarting my phone, a message appeared that said I'd have to contact my service provider due to problems with the configuration file. Well, since I didn't wanted to wait till monday, I tried to downgrade to R2aa003 again.
All went well again but for 2 small things:

- TMS told me that for applying settings 1 more credit was needed (which I didn't have at this time)
- So TMS couldn't finish above but said it was done flashin my phone anyway.

Now guess what. Correct, the "power on"-Button of my phone doesn't do anything, whether it's connected to TMS (CID-Check...) or totally unconnected. I even left in on the charger the whole night, but with no change.

[edit]Forgot to add: When pluggin in the charger, no reaction from the phone either[/edit]

Now I've got a lot of small .ats files (of 95 / 165 / 153 etc. bytes) and two rather large ones of about 29 megabytes.

I suppose, these are the ones unifinished from my last flashing-attempt.

So, what shall I do? Any possibilities to revive my mobile?

Things I forgot to mention but might be helpful:
- The user I tried this was totaluk2370
- I boght 2 more credits from faceoff yesterday
- The new user is totaluk3529 - that's the one I tried this morning to no avail.

- good news: I connected my k700i again to the charger an now the screen is flashin white....maybe there's not everything lost.

hi,

first of three I am not supporting TMS in anyway ...
second of three your phone didn't flash the finalization...
third of three is that you better contact your reseller and ask for a credit back and do it again...
all should be OK.
be sure to follow the instructions given in software.

hope your problem will be solved soon,

PS. or you can try some other tool to repair your phone

Thanks a lot

1) Well, at least you take care of the stranded users of TMS such as myself...
2) If I had made a screenshot yesterday, I would have known that. Yes, that's exactly what it said on the screen.
3) I'm still trying to charge my li-ion....it seems this one is rather tough -> no more white lcd flashing but the red LED below the power-button glowing (not blinking).

Well I'll leave it until tomorrow evening and then I'll try flashing again.

BTW:

What would be the right procedure to flash R2AE033 correctly:
I downloaded 2 files
K700_R2AE033_ZONE_1_EU_EMEA_USA.K7S
and
K700_R2AE033_EU5_EN_FR_DE_IT.K7D
and tried flashing under the Upgrade/Language/Debrand tab.
I guess Mode 2 isn't an option here because of the missing customization file for this fw.

Sorry for asking such a general question but I didn't find any instructions on this subject.

i haven't used TS for a long time so I can not tell you for sure, but i think you did it right... with does 2 files. where did you buy the logs from? you better contact them for your issue... you don't need to charge your battery for so long. you can also try this: take the battery out and leave it like that for a few minutes... open the program, whichever you are using , choose the files, plug the cable in the phone with battery still off the phone... and press flash. when it says power on the phone put the battery back in! it might do the trick...

where did you get your cable from? be sure it is still working!

My cable did work allright, it was the battery that didn't charge due to the problems described above. Now my phone is all up and configured again (but still on R2AA).
