Problem unlocking Z500V - GSM-Forum

I am trying to unlock Samsung Z500v. I have downloaded the drivers from samsung site. But the Z500 cable that I got with my Nsdongle is a tight fit. I have to force the cable in. If the cable is in the phone while off and I try to power it up, the screen turns white and phone vibrates continually. If i power up the phone first , insert the cable then plug in to usb port nothing happens . Windows does not ask for phone to be installed as modem.

I hope its not a pinout problem. the last time I ried to change pinout on e700 cable I damaged it.

i have unlocked Z500v phone without any porblems...

Hi,

Connector for Z500 is same as Z140, ZV30... not E700.

You must have original cable with phone (in phone box). dont try to use any other connector, you will lose time and maybe damage phone's pins...

Thanks I now have to try and source a cable that comes with Z500v. My customer got his used , so no cable.

Ok I got cable today and unlocked Z500v but now new problem arised. I cant make any calls on the 900/1800 mhz bands. How do I fix this

Maybe phone is blacklisted...

The phone works perfectly on 1900 mhz. I saw this problem befoore with samsung D500. Any suggestions how to fix ???

Elco is there any way I can fix this problem. Z500v can make calls only on 1900 mhz? But I need phone to work on 900/1800 mhz.

Flash the phone with different version.
