how to know E250 restarting with sim is due to software or POwer IC

Dear mates
I dont know about hardware I do only software .I am confused with
some Samsungs that when they are restarting with sim or sometimes hang
or sim crashed if it is fault is due to its Hardware like Power Ic or it is Software .
Please explain this matter a little bet with details.
