Unlocked Browsers or Unbranded Firmwares for....

Hi, I have 4 Samsung phones coming in that I not only need to remove the sim lock from, but also I will need to free up the WAP browser so I can input new web sessions/GPRS accounts into them.

The client tested them out himself already and said he currently can't put in new GPRS accounts into them. The phones are E335, X475, E715 and E635. I guess they are all from T-Mobile USA.

Can NSDongle do the latter just via the software part? Or do I have to look for unbranded firmwares? Are there unbranded firmwares for these T-Mobile specific phones?

Thanks!

Just unlock them as required, then go to Service job button, then from there you can reset the wap plus other things.

I try to do this for a T-Mobile Branded X475 but I still can't modify any data option like Wap or MMS and phone is still branded.

No, Reset WAP Settings didn't work. So, I used the following code:

*#87927#

That code forced the Samsung to show the GPRS settings menu, so I can change them from the default T-Mobile VoiceStream stuff. With the GPRS settings changed, the phone menu still says T-Zone, but it goes to where you want it to go now....

So once you are in there, what settings do you use to allow you to access the web content you want? What GPRS settings should you use, and can the home URL be whatever you want, or should you use the voicestream URL - http://wap.myvoicestream.com?

You can use whatever homepage you want. The GPRS settings you will use depends of course of the operator you're using

Ok, I'm not so savvy when it comes to these things! What does that mean "depends on the operator you're using?" What are my options? How do I know what proxy address to use? APN? LogIn ID? Password?? HELP ME!!!!! LOL

Well, which cellular telephone company is the sim card you're using with the phone with?

Each provider has its own GPRS settings, so if you can tell us which company it is, maybe we can find the settings for you!

Wap version of the Opera browser also stores a great number of operator settings. Check it out
