repair mode means make nor erase then write flash, nor erase means calibration data will be erased and it contains the vital data like imei and sp zone so better to write fullflash then rebuild imei

vital data is calibration data and every phone has a zone where special data like imei and sp zone is stored into when you make nor erase you mean erase this zone and you find that you can not rebuild imei but when you fullflash the phone
you find that this zone is back but with the data of another phone so you can rebuild imei with your own phone imei ( regarding my experience )
