We prefer USB<->serial cable with FTDI chip. We have no experience cables with PL-2303xx. You can use the original DSS cradle as well.

Have you selected right COM-port? Look at device manager if there is any '?' symbol about drivers e.tc for your syncstation . if so try to update drivers from c:/windows/ local registry root.

Can u pls write here flashing times???

I have tried everything... It is not up to server 'cause files are stored locally...
On PIII 733 takes ages to flash, on PIV2.4 takes 2 hours no matter what connection i use ( 56K modem, ISDN single and dual, astrasat )...

Still i did not manage DSS to run with it, FTDI fighter runs as in above post, PL2303xx limited by drivers on 115200 ( i have old one )...

Can you please try to use more recent version of your USB<->serial driver?
Also you can try that Prolific cable mentioned by Invader. Theoritically many of the USB<->serial cables should work. Some of our customers uses FTDI's USB<->serial with success. We are using a simple cheap serial cable with HiSerial.sys usually on 46800baud so we don't have too much experience with USB<->serial cables. I will remove DSS cradle from the site if it really not work.

My FTDI works perfect with fighter and i really can't figure what's wrong. DSS-20 definitely does not work with Your remote unlocker and original SE drivers.
Anyway, i will try tommorow to run it on clean XP pro installation just to make sure that messy thing from microsoft called OS does not making any problems.
