Unhappy New User: Can't flash with PBB :(

Hello.

I have problem with PBB, Phoenix is working, i can instal it, it start ok.
I can read phone (backup and restore user data), set contrast.... everything
it is working but, i can't flash phone , I always get this same error. My PBB is powered 7,8V 700mA and it is stable (i check this with a multimeter) also with phone conected and powered, I changed power for atmega, now it is connected directly to USB 5V (I have many problems with phoenix, like registration errors, error loading component ), after that change phoenix working more stable. But I still can't flash phones (tested on 6310i and 6100). I tired this software on 2 PC with this same result, also phoenix was instaled a couple times.

Just make an online update and all will be ok.
If you need, use Force update option.

Best regards,

Upgrade will not help you /i think ... / in this case. I have here at me 2 pcs PBB (upgraded to ver 5) - both are from friends and was not well working by birth /with error loading bla, bla.../ - for trouth i must say that one i was test it a mount ago with ACP-8X on old phoenix instalation /on olld one PC / and NMP-9 - all was OK second one - everytime with errors, but with new phoenix on my work PC - everytime - errors. After X-Shadow modification both start just fine - phone recognition ect... is OK, But flashing die on first 14% - mean there cannot be supplied / i think / enough Vpp to phones to start erase/flash process ...

There need be maded one more small modification, but isn't my right to make suggestion ...

Hi,

Your problems is totaly different. Usualy "Command failed" comes from old/wrong/bad update and an new online update using Force update option solve this problem.

For your problems:
Recommended power supply adapter is 7,5 volts and more than 500mA.
ACP-8X is NOT working, because give only 5,7 volts! In FLS-4S this regular charger (ACP-8X used in old FLS-4) was also changed to ACF-8.
This ACF-8 give more voltage (volts) and more supply current (mA) than regular charger ACP-8X. But this ACF-8 is available ONLY for Service Points (included in FLS-4S package).
If you use right power supply, you do not need to make any modifications inside PBB to get power from USB.
Also try to NOT use any LPT cable extension.
Regarding your second problem (Vpp) try use RIGHT power supply, and check again. If still errors, your boxes have something wrong and must contact your reseller for replacement.

Best regards,
Zulea

@kowal.techgsm

For me, it looks like box firmware update problem... but anyway,

Have you done this?
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=177953

if so and still not work, try this:

1. Open chinese data cable and remove the resistor on the BSI line. BSI should now
....be directly connected to the PCB. Do NOT remove resistor between GND and BSI.
....So now you should have cable with 1 resistor inside, close it and try again.

if still now work, maybe you should check PCB of PBB and see if all components are
connected ok. check atmega128 legs too 1 by 1 as well as other ICs.

All phones give same error?
What phoenix version are you using?
Update FLS-4 Driver to 2.04 as well.

Yes, I just bought that PBB already with this modification.
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=177953

In chinese data cable BSI line is directly connected to the PCB. Resistor between GND and BSI is 68K.
But also is there one between Btemp and GND- 47K

And Yes, all phones give same error
phoenix "phoenix_service_sw_2004_46_4_75.exe" instaled and updated to "phoenix_service_sw_2004_46_5_76_upd.exe"
FLS-4 Driver "DRV_FLS4_204.exe"

I also try this:
"
After playing with deskey options in Control Panel, the errors messages
suddenly disappeared.

Try this:

Tip # 1:

Go to Control Panel --> DESKEY --> DK2/DK38 TAB --> put a check on
Exclusive Mode (all options here should now have a check) --> click Advanced
--> select "Advanced - Hardware Timing"

Tip # 2

When loading phoenix, I make sure that no phone is attached. After phoenix
has successfully loaded, you can now attach the phones that you wish to
service.
"
Nothing changed
Tested on 6310i, 6100 and 6510.
Tomorrow I will check all connections from and to atmega
