k508 no display - GSM-Forum

hi i have a sony ericsson k508. when it came, its LCD lights were not turning on so i opened it to check what the problem was. checking it with magnifier showed that some of its prints were broken so i thought of changing LCD. now i have even tried by changing LCD but set does not show any lights of any display on LCD. board lights turn on set perfectly makes call and receives them but there is no display. i tried putting the older lcd back in it but even that one did not show any display. point to note is that its lcd holder jack has no locks. i mean the place where we put lcd strip in cell phone has two locks one closes from lower side and one from the upper side but it has no locks. previously lcd was put using a hard paper.
can someone help me please? looking forward to responses from you guys.
