Member: 196693 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | Anylink N99i looking dead Client says that it's died "itself". So, trying to find the way to SW repair, connected in 3 hands with eagle to pinouts on PCB. Cannot solder, because client doesn't want that. So, it's possible to keep only for period of backup EEPROM... Connecting, finding MT6226, and exact before saving window appear =- got the message about possible damaged flash chip and propositioon to use NAND read. But NAND is the same result. Before he gave phone to me, it was several times reboot of the phone. Does anybody has normal pinout for 1x12 mini connector cable? Could you give exact step-by-step instructions on how to repair SW problem in this 2 CPU model? Also (if not need to reball chips) - how to repair reboot of the phone? Would be really thanksful for help. BR! |

Member: 148515 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 19,534 | hello! check with multimeter resistance between Tx/rx test points and system connector pins. please note that in some cases resistance can be not 0 ohm, but some small value. this way you can make good cable. regarding your problem- you must start from FFS formating on MCU1 |

Also, as I am new with multimeter using, what exact doings should I do? All testpoints on PCB, shown in Infinity box pinouts, are working, but client dos not allow to solder a wire to them. Impossible to keep so long time wire in hands...during backup/flash. So, that's why I need cable pinouts. | |

Member: 148515 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 19,534 | hello! set multimeter to resistance mesuring mode. now when you connect both probes together- you will see resistance 0 (zero) and hear Beep. now how to find GND: connect one probe to some grounded phone part (for example metal shield which covers PCB or negative terminal of battery connector) and with other prob touch one by one system connector pins. as soon as you hear Beep- check multimeter LCD and if there will be small resistance between 0-2...3 Ohm- this is a needed pin. Same way you test test points. Set one probe to test point, with other touch all pins on system connector. If you hear Beep and see some small resistnace- this means it has connection with this test points. and you can use this pin for cable connecting |

Member: 196693 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | Thanks a lot for answering. Found GND on system connector, but not working RX/TX. Phone now doesn't power on. Member: 196693 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | Thanks a lot. Found GND is 10th PIN on system connector. RX/TX not appear...maybe because of dead phone? Tomorrow will look on PCB and heat flash if needed. After that we'll see. Also, possible will try to make backup of both CPU FF. |
