Anylink N99i looking dead

Anylink N99i Dual Sim Bluetooth

Client says that it's died "itself".
So, trying to find the way to SW repair, connected in 3 hands with eagle to pinouts on PCB. Cannot solder, because client doesn't want that. So, it's possible to keep only for period of backup EEPROM...
Connecting, finding MT6226, and exact before saving window appear =- got the message about possible damaged flash chip and propositioon to use NAND read.
But NAND is the same result.

Before he gave phone to me, it was several times reboot of the phone.

Does anybody has normal pinout for 1x12 mini connector cable?
Could you give exact step-by-step instructions on how to repair SW problem in this 2 CPU model?
Also (if not need to reball chips) - how to repair reboot of the phone?
Would be really thanksful for help.
BR!

hello!

check with multimeter resistance between Tx/rx test points and system connector pins.
please note that in some cases resistance can be not 0 ohm, but some small value.
this way you can make good cable.

regarding your problem- you must start from FFS formating on MCU1

Sorry for asking such questions, but how to find GND on system connector?
Also, as I am new with multimeter using, what exact doings should I do?

All testpoints on PCB, shown in Infinity box pinouts, are working, but client dos not allow to solder a wire to them. Impossible to keep so long time wire in hands...during backup/flash.
So, that's why I need cable pinouts.

hello!

set multimeter to resistance mesuring mode.
now when you connect both probes together- you will see resistance 0 (zero) and hear Beep.
now how to find GND:
connect one probe to some grounded phone part (for example metal shield which covers PCB or negative terminal of battery connector)
and with other prob touch one by one system connector pins.
as soon as you hear Beep- check multimeter LCD and if there will be small resistance between 0-2...3 Ohm-
this is a needed pin.

Same way you test test points.
Set one probe to test point, with other touch all pins on system connector.
If you hear Beep and see some small resistnace- this means it has connection with this test points.
and you can use this pin for cable connecting

Thanks a lot for answering.

Found GND on system connector, but not working RX/TX.
Phone now doesn't power on.

So, I took GND with cable connector and RX/TX on PCB as shown in box pinouts photos.

Have such a result:

COM4 [VCP0] selected
Device: Autodetect 6205-6227 NOR
Checking data, wait...
advanced flash detection enabled
eeprom backup enabled, it may takes several minutes !
Action: read eeprom

Press and HOLD Power button now !

Connecting, wait...

boot step size: 0002
Release Power button now !
Boot Done

error: wrong answer: 3B : wrong answer after chip id request
number of flash chip/regions detected: 00/01
Unknown or damaged flash chip, operation aborted.
Fault reasons:
1. damaged flash chip: replace or resolder/reball flash chip
2. damaged hardware: check hardware, water inside etc.
3. unknown hardware: set "Advanced chip detection method" box [un-checked] and try again
4. wrong model selection, try 'NAND' selection
Initialize Fail
Finished, time used: 165 sec
Remove/Install battery now !

Very bad? Or possible that it's only SW problems?

by this log i can say that it looks like flash IC is dead or have bad soldering.
i would advice to open phone and and re-solder flash IC or at least to heat it.

Thanks a lot.

Found GND is 10th PIN on system connector.
RX/TX not appear...maybe because of dead phone?
Tomorrow will look on PCB and heat flash if needed.
After that we'll see.
Also, possible will try to make backup of both CPU FF.
