C168i Wont go into Prepare mode

Infinity Support i need your help

i can connect to C168i and reset defaults or read security code, but when i try to unlock or read flash, it says Phone Should be off, press Power button now.

the phone is off i press the power button, phone powers up but nothing is going on with the software...
im using T191 cable on com1, moto02 v1.40

please need ur help promptly.

Please, be sure that you press phone "power" button after you see in software log window text like "Press power button".

here are the steps im doing exactly.

1) connect the phone via X60 T191 Cable.
2) Power up the phone
3) Load the Software v1.40
4) Choose Model C168i
5) Go to Service Tab
6) Power off the phone
7) Press Prepare
8) when i get the message "Press Power button now !" i press power

and nothing happends....

please i need your help, if the box would not recognize the phone it would not show me the user code or reset settings on the phone.

1. Start software

2. Select phone model

3. Power-off phone

4. make "Prepare" operation

5. Power-on phone

6. make "Unlock" operation



Please, read all instructions in software log window very carefully !
if no luck try to verify your cable

It's very strange that phone can't be detected by software.
Pls, try to use other cabke, f.e. cabke with "X60" mark that comes with box and use not COM1 but box port.

Hi

i'm using X60 cable with the box directly and still not working.
it will read the user code and reset defualts on the phone, but when i need to put the phone in prepare mode it wont work....
nothing happends..

can it be the software of the phone, maybe its a newer firmware on the phone, at&t just released these phones few days ago.

i really need to find solution for this.

It happens the same with C168i that I am triyng to unlock. New ATT firmware just released. Any sugestion?

yep. I'm experencing same problem. I tried to unlock the c168i from att and it wont prepare. Must be new firmware because I tried it with two different x60 cables.

i need to be informed as well, when solution is out, i can not make prepare,
phone always goes up, and not conect to box when trying to prepare,
i tried to flash as well, but box doesnt recognise it,
box just recognise it when i hit unlock, or reset user code,
not when preparing or flashing,

and when i hit unlock, it always ask me to prepare first,

and my imei begins 0112
and the carrier is at&t,
its the new hardware i guess
and besides i am using latest soft
moto 2 version 1.44
