Dongle firmware Version

Dear Infinity-Box Team,

I notice that current DONGLE FIRMWARE VERSION is v0142.

But some dongle with activate support still hold v0140 included mine.

The reason while for this post is that the version use to be the same version for all activate dongle before.

Please can you explain the reason why it's not the same anymore?

PLEASE NOTE THAT ITS JUST AN OBSERVATION.

Dear Sir,


As you know team is working in non-stop mode and trying to release new features every day.
Smart-Card is a part of subsystema nd should be updated from time-to-time as well. That's why programmers release new features for smart-card as well.
As you know,to use latest software versions you need to have specified card firmware.
But if you run Infinity software and software can run well and do not ask for update you DO NOT NEED to update card. firmware version difference is just internal difference for my own development purposes and I nam testing some things now but you do not need to think about too much because this test do not affect you your card and to card of other people because it is just some tests for futire finctions that ill be implemented later.

Hello,
Firmware version 0142 is the next version after 0140.
As soon as new software updates (that require v0142) will be released you will see a message with request to update dongle firmare and you will get v0142 (or higher) card firmware version.
Right now you do not need to update dongle firmware.

v0143 is out but only several testers need it. You (and other users) will get it in some time after tests will be completed

my support period expire after 4 days and my dongle firmware is 0140 after support expired I update dongle firmware to 0142 ?

Hello,
Just for info card/dongle can't be upgraded after support period expires. I recommend you to upgrade to latest card/dongle firmware if you support is expiring soon as it still has older firmware.

Problem is dongle is not in my hand due to lock down

Don't worry, not in all cases it requires to upgrade, as team already said if software asks for upgrade only then you need to upgrade. If lastest module didn't asked for upgrade then you don't need to update dongle.
