F.A.Q. How To Successfully Read Flash On Android SPD Phones

A lot of people can perform all operations but face difficulties in achieving successful 'read flash' operation on Android SPD sphones.
Follow this guide carefully and you will be through.

NOTE: Before tool will start reading firmware from your phone, you must disconnect and reconnect phone to pc 3 times as tool instructs.
There should be no interruptions during this 3 processes or you will have to start all over again
Interruptions? (e.g. disconnection of cable) during these 3 processes.

Now, let's begin...

FOR NON-REMOVABLE BATTERIES OF ALL ANDROID SPD PHONES
First, you must identify the boot key of your android spd phone
E.g., you found that the boot key of your spd phone is 'volume down' button

1. Launch your CM2 SPD Module, select your phone's boot type, go to flash tab and click on the 'Read Firmware[PAC]' button.
Just as tool displays this message " ==== Wait for phone...", power off your phone down, hold the boot key(volume down button) or whichever and connect phone to pc.
*Pls note and don't forget that I used volume down key because I assumed the boot key of the phone is volume down button.
If your phone's boot key is volume up button, you must hold the volume up button and connect phone to pc at this stage.
If the boot key is both, you must hold both keys and connect to pc.
*If by any means, you cannot power off your phone down because phone hangs on logo, you must force and and shut it down.
To do this, connect your phone to pc, press and hold all buttons(volume up + volume down + power).
Continue holding until phone shuts down. Just as phone shuts down, immediately release all buttons except your phone's boot key(volume down button) or whichever.
Tool will pick up from there and continue the operation. Release also the boot key thereafter when tool picks up and start operating.

2. Now, tool will ask you to reconnect phone in order to continue the process as shown in the image below.

Now, don't disconnect your phone from pc. Just click on the 'OK' button.
Just as you clicked on the 'OK' button, your phone will start to boot up.
Now, press and hold all the buttons(volume up + down + power) once again until phone shuts down.
Release all the keys except the boot key(volume down button) or whichever.
Tool will again pick up and continue the operation. Release boot key when tool starts operating.

3. Finally, tool will prompt to reconnect phone once again as shown in the image above.
Don't disconnect your phone from pc. Just click on the 'OK' button.
Just as you clicked on the 'OK' button, your phone will start to boot up once again.
Press and hold all the buttons(volume up + down + power) once again until phone shuts down.
Release all the keys except the boot key(volume down button) or whichever.
Voila! Tool picks up again and this time, firmware reading will begin. Be patient and don't touch phone until the process is complete

If along these processes, there was an interruption, you need to go through all three steps once again to achieve successful 'read flash' operation.
This method can also be applied for removable batteries of all Android SPD phones.

FOR REMOVABLE BATTERIES OF ALL ANDROID SPD PHONES

2. Now, tool will ask you to reconnect phone in order to continue the process as shown in the image above.
(a) Disconnect your phone from pc,
(b) Remove and reconnect battery,
(c) Press the 'OK' button on tool as in the picture above,
(d) Hold the boot key and reconnect phone to pc.

3. Tool will prompt again to reconnect phone as shown in the image above
(a) Disconnect your phone from pc once again,
(b) Remove and reconnect battery once again,
(c) Press the 'OK' button on tool once again as in the picture above,
(d) Hold the boot key and reconnect phone to pc once again.
This time tool will pick up once again and start reading firmware. Be patient and don't touch the cable until process is completed

Note that if there was an interruption during these steps, you need to to through the steps all over again.
