Exclamation Help with Installation

I am getting this error trying to unlock Pantech C3b:

"COM4 [VCP0] selected
Phone must be POWERED-ON !
Cable must be in "DATA" mode !
Connecting, wait...
error: connection failed, try again !
error: operation not finished properly
Finished, time used: 15 sec
Power-off phone by "Power" button (don't remove battery)."

I am using the cable from my Furious Gold box. Is the problem with the cable or installation of drivers?

Hello,

Please, check Infinity-Box Shell, you will see cable schematic for Pantech.
You can see two different schematics !
You must use schematic for "DATA" mode.

Here is an instruction how to get cable/pinout information:

1. be sure that you have downloaded and installed latest Infinity-Box Pinouts update
2. run Infinity-Box Shell
3. select required model
4. see detailed information about cable/pinout (Rx/Tx/Gnd pins and other information)

Here is an example of information given by Infinity-Box Shell:

Here is information how to build your own cable:

The issue seems to be with the cable. I am able to read the flash files from the phone which leads me to believe my cable is GPRS not DATA mode. Can anyone tell me where I can buy the DATA cable? I bought one from unlockcellular.com, but that one turned out to be GPRS. Thanks

Hello,

It's easy to make cable modification.
move wires from 15/12 pins to 10/11 pins.

=== DATA MODE ===

keyboard top
1.........24
phone pin-3 connect to phone pin-4
10: box Tx/phone Rx (RJ-45 pin-2)
11: box Rx/phone Tx (RJ-45 pin-3)
24: Gnd

=== GPRS MODE ===

keyboard top
1.........24
15: box Tx/phone Rx (RJ-45 pin-2)
12: box Rx/phone Tx (RJ-45 pin-3)
24: Gnd

Please stop posting the schematics. I have had them from day one. That is not what I am asking for. The connectors that I have are missing some pins so I cannot make one. Where can I buy this cable? This is very frustrating to spend hundreds of dollars on an unlocker and not be able to use it because it does not come with the cables and no one is selling them. Why bother to market something when you cannot support it?

It was last time when I have tried to make so detailed explanation, in future I'll just post link to this page http://www.infinity-box.com/dealers.php to avoid answers like yours.

Thank you very much for your kind respect to our efforts.
Good luck !

p.s.
if you are unable to move two pins in connector and/or solder two wires let me make a suggestion: you have to learn to make easy hardware job, not only press buttons. In other case future work with mobile phones will be little bit hard for you.
Yes, I am understand that stupid supporter should not post stupid advices, so, please, don't be angry for this my advice, fo sure my more that 110 years experience is nothing so you have no reason to read any of my comments.

I think there is a misunderstanding. Infinity team has been the most responsive out of all the unlockers I have ever owned, and I have many unlockers. Infinity returned all of my emails in a timely manner when most other unlock producers never even bother to respond. Your advice was not stupid. It just wasn't what I was asking. I sometimes spend hours and days to install an unlocker. Everyone knows that the unlockers are hard to install and learn to use. Installing, configuring, and learning to use an unlocker is anything but pushing a button. Expecting a response such as deepakgarg's is not unreasonable. As a business person, it is worth it for me to spend a few dollars to buy a cable rather than wasting time playing with cables so please do not tell me what is my job because you do not know me or my job description. I am sure you are very experienced and knowlegeable. Otherwise, you would not develope such a product. Exchanging knowledge and sharing experience is the foundation of forums such as this one so you cannot be upset because someone is asking a simple question such as where can I buy something. I am not angry just asking a valid question. You got angry thinking I am making a negative comment about your product when I was not. Thanks

Hello,

If you have problems with new cables from time to time (I am sure you will have a problems if you will try to repair noname Chinese models), I suggest you to buy PinFinder.
As a result you will get set of different connectors (with all wires soldered to connector) and also an ability to detect pinout in automatic mode (as well as set pinout manually).
Yes, I agree, separate cables is more easy to use (due to no need to select pinouts, configure PinFinder etc), but if you will have many new different phones probably you will be more happy with PinFinder than with separate RJ45 cables.
