Newbie here.
I have searched many posts and still be clueless.

Infinity-box is very different than other box.

Anyway, I have a LG KE970 and want to add Chinese language support.

What I usually did is simply flash a Chinese KE970 firmware.

The problem is I am not which firmware in support area has Chinese.
So I just tried one by one, then the phone can't power on after I flash it.

I revived the phone by some free gsm flash tool.

But I really want to know how to use infinity-box, after all, I paid $200 something for it.

I read some post discuss the language pack editor that is really cool tool.
Then when I try to open it, it ask for higher activation level.

Hum.... so I can't change language unless I pay more? Or, I just doing the wrong way?

Somebody please kindly guide me. Any link, post or a instruction will be appreciate. I did read the documentations, but that confuse me more, since there are too many models list over there.

Also, I am glad to see that Infinity support cect a008, but I cant find a flash file in support area.

My question is:
How to correctly flash KE970
How to change Language into chinese for KE970
How to change Language into chinese for Cect a008

Hello,

I think you have started from wrong point. I suggest you to start your search from your own HDD: C:\Program Files\InfinityBox\Documentation

Answer #1:

How to write flash (step-by-step instruction):

1. connect cable
2. run "Shell" software
3. select required model
4. run required software module
5. select required model (if need)
6. go to software "Settings" page and select COM port
7. go to software "Flash" page and load required files
8. press "Write" button and follow instruction given by software

How to unlock (step-by-step instruction):

1. connect cable
2. run "Shell" software
3. select required model
4. run required software module
5. select required model (if need)
6. go to software "Settings" page and select COM port
7. go to software "Service" page
8. press "SP-Unlock" button and follow instruction given by software

How to reset/format ffs (step-by-step instruction):

1. connect cable
2. run "Shell" software
3. select required model
4. run required software module
5. select required model (if need)
6. go to software "Settings" page and select COM port
7. go to software "Service" page
8. press "Reset" or "Format" button and follow instruction given by software

Answer #2:

Flash phone with firmware with Chinese language.
You can see files description in support area: \flashfiles\LG\Language_pack_description.txt

But as I can remember there is no files with Chinese language in support area, so here is an instruction what to do:
C:\Program Files\InfinityBox\Documentation\FAQ\How_to_get_latest_flash_files_and_new_languag es.txt

Thanks for the reply.
I finally found a Chinese KE970 and read out the firmware.
But the size is more than 20MB which can't be accepted by Gmail.
Is there a another way to send you guys the firmware?

Should I flash FFS-2/File system or eeprom also?
Where can I find the FFS-2 flash file?

Hello,

Are you sure that you have read flash backup from phone that had Chinese language ?

What languages was in your phone before flash ?
What languages you can see in phone after flash ?

What was original phone firmware version ?

Yeah, I follow the procedure in documation.

The phone has english and other non-chinese language,
(Sorry, it has been a while, kinda forget what language exactly)
After flash, everything stay the same.

Check firmware version remain unchanged.
So the original firmware was KE970P40FL-44-V10c-234-30

You can flash phone with firmware with Urdu language or you can try to add new language in firmware by yourself.
