You mean Flash-Resize, right? It not require MemTool. Just a FW read / factory.

Didnt find much reports about such problem in SPD at all yet.

For now only, if device_sign ( let call it "cert" ) are NOT damaged.

State - if we talk about "new" , "old" and "plain" types - yes, all of them.
Unlock as well too.

Can you please tell me how to identify a "broken_signature" device? What to look for in the identify log ?

In log. Should be 2.

Also, if write in device other backup in forced mode ( SW ask during NV write ) - it will be also 2.
Also during unlock/repair goes verification of data too. If it fail - most probably device security has been damaged.
We can/plan add Verify option for such case. It will be more useful.
