Member: 42387 Status: Offline Sonork: 1573735 Thanks Meter: 407 | Let me know, If I understood well, if this software will be usefull for me. 1. You produce software for reading out data from phones and crypt flashes. 2. Then you produced payed software to make read data from these crypted by your software flashes Question 1: How is your software better than free ways to extract data from bin? Question 2: Will you plan add option decrypt your crypted flashes to decrypted state? Question 3: All your crypted flashes are supported? Even your crypted nokia HMD global? as always, no offence, just asking. |

Member: 1043909 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 60,926 | @cykada Infinity Data Explorer works with plain bin files. 1. I do not know what free software you talk about. 2. do you mean crypted images created with old (more than 5 years ago) software ? 3. only limited number of such images are crypted. At the moment such images are not supported by Data Explorer, I can not say anything about future |

1. bin + sql db there is plenty lot of stuff over the web to make me happy. 2. talked about that Infinity software crypts not crypted flashes, you use own encryption like nokia hmd global SPD flashes which readed by BEST2 are normaly PK zips with password. And you sell software to make data from them ... And software is payed . All this, and even more can do with little knowlege from uncrypted flashes readed to bin or other format. So cleared, this software isn't for me. Regards!

Member: 1043909 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 60,926 | you talk about only one type of files that is crypted, it's less than 0.1% of all files. It looks like you did not tried to check rest (99.9% of files are not crypted) so it's good that you ask about it now. It's better to make this situation clear for all users because your posts makes users confused. In future, if you want to know something, it's better just ask instead of post confused description. I am sad to hear that this software is not for you but to be honest from other hand I am really glad to hear that still there are people (f.e. you) who are ready to make own research, spend a lot of time in different tries, search different software and use it. Thank you ! |

Most feature phones doesn't store data in sql/sqlite databases. MTK feature phones are annoying to parse through. Quote:
Hmm, that's interesting. I haven't dumped any single SPD based Nokia so far but every other dump i've made with Infinity was not encrypted or compressed in any way and instead was just pure binary that can be parsed with other tools. I remember that Furious compress their dumps (all of them) with _some_ password. I'm not sure if Infinity can finally dump Android SPD based phones including userdata (currently can't run the most recent SPD2 module). Original SPD module was useless if it comes to that.

If you not like "crypted" SPD files - not use them. Not matter, even if make them plain - you will not able extract anything with sql lite or whatever else at al. We made dumping feature just to make firmwares for cover more languages and bring users more variants. That were clearly explained. When we add forensic option, we will do that as it work with others - all files, made by BEST will be support, as it was before.

Since SPD nature, their enginiers though and visions - not allow dump big partitions due loader limits. We made universal solution, which support all 3 existing lines of SPRD/UniSoc security for allow dumping all of them. No more resrtrictions or anything else. Feature will be activated after some real-runs on beta tester samples.
