Specially for spice 5454 as it is different hardware based it has no connectivity with PC

Instruction for S/W updating via T Card

Updating Steps

Step 1:
Format T card before updating and make sure to set T card as FAT16/FAT32 format. (Note: the previous software is only compatible with FAT16 format)

Step 2:
Copy the folder KKUpdate and move it to T card root directory
Copy two files, Bin file and scat (txt file) to KKUpdate

Step 3:
Make sure T card is inserted into the phone. For the dual-T card handset, please make sure T card is inserted into card slot 1

Step 4: Updating
Option A) Updating when handset works in normal operation condition
Access to engine mode with code ‘*#01478963# ’, and then select option ‘update start’ to start S/W updating (Engine mode is not opened to end-user)
Option B) Updating when handset can’t be started up
Long-press ‘power’ + ‘5’ key to start S/W updating

Step 5:
After few seconds, LCD screen will display updating information and indicate the updating progress. When updating is done, phone will be rebooted automatically.

Warning
a) This S/W updating instruction is appointed as standard updating procedure. Please discard any previous updating instruction. This instruction is applied to the latest T card updating (MTK 53 platform).
b) This S/W updating with T card support is a smart updating method which has comprehensively considered all situations including such as handset can’t be started up. If handset can be started up normally, the Updating Option A (access to engine code to start updating) must be utilized. Otherwise, please select Option B (Long-press power key to start updating)
