For 4GiB emmc there is : 0.7-1.2 GiB memory for OS. 0.2-0.4 GiB memory for supplementary files 0.1-0.2 GiB for BMT. 0.3-0.4 GiB for Cache There is left normally 1.5-1.7 GiB , which are parted to User memory. Space for internal storage not left. That is why SW say - not have free internal memory. SW not take space from air, it just remap current eMMC space for extend partition. In limited space , when somewhere need increase part - in other place need decrease On 8,16,32,64 GiB there is enough memory for such things. On older platforms can be divide even in 4GiB eMMC's, they support will follow. | |
