Member: 541591 Status: Offline Sonork: 100.1611509 Thanks Meter: 7,361  | One safe way to format 6253 CPU based phones- If you have 6253 CPU based phone and you need to format/reset it then first try to safe format or format ffs (under "FFS" tab) with "Autodetect 6205-6239 Nor" option. This will safe format your handset without any risk or problem (like network, eeprom or imei). I have tried this method with many sets and most of them got working without any problem. Here is latest log that I've done today, set was in blinking condition- COM5 [VCP2] selected module v3.31 Action: reset settings ("format ffs") Model: Autodetect 6205-6239 NOR Checking data, wait... Phone should be Switched OFF ! Press and HOLD Power button now ! 19200 autodetect Initializing [6253:8A02:8A00]... CPU: MT6253 high speed boot On chip: 0000:0000:000F status: FF Connecting at 19200, wait... Release Power button now ! Phone detected, wait... Hardware: MT6253,E02 Date: 2000.00.00 Version: 1.0 Version: GILD.6700S.V11_2011/02/10 Version: SZMI53_6432_09B_HW ==================== New firmware found (v.3.31, database date: 29.05.2011): GILD.6700S.V11_2011/02/10 This firmware is missing in support area. If this phone is good and working: - download latest software from support area and try again, probably this firmware already supported in latest software - make "Read full flash" operation - send flash backup files to support: [email protected] or upload files to RapidShare AG, Cham, Switzerland or 4shared.com - free file sharing and storage - include in your e-mail full text from phone back label (phone name etc.) ==================== detecting structure #2... 0 1 2 3 4 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 15 21 22 23 24 25 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 36error: detection failed (28 tries), read flash and send to support connection Ok building list... done items total: 143 items to clear: 143 warning: wrong packet cs items cleared: 143 of 143 building list... done items remains: 0 Finished, time used: 36 sec Remove/Install battery now !
