hi
I have a dead c701a, it came dead already. I've been trying to flash if with infinity but this is what happens...

COM3 [VCP1] selected
module v2.73
Device: Alcatel-C701X, C701A
Checking data, wait...
advanced flash detection enabled
Action: write NOR flash
"smart write" active
"format ffs" active
write: Firmware
skip: Customization/Language Pack
skip: Customization

error: can't detect CPU id
Release Power button now !
in case of initial connection problem: on/off "Boot baudrate autoselect"

Remove/Install battery now !

actually, nothing happens when i hit the power button, i have to click on ''write'' and then conect the cable to get it to detect something.
i've already tried ''boot baudrate autoselect'' and same result.
The phone looks brand new, so i'm wondering if it might be a new version, anybody having the same problem?
I know for a fact the cable is good, cause i have just flashed a c700a no problem. I also know the battery is fully charge. I have never had any problems flashing c701a with infinity, so i think theres something else there.
Any help on this matter would be most apreciated.

CPU has a problem on that phone...

It looks like you have cable problem but not new phone type.
There is no any connection so it's cable problem.

it is not cable problem Mr Infinity. It just uses tx, rx and grd and i solder the cables directly to the phones, i flash and unlock at least 5 pieces a day using this cable and i dont have a problem with any except this one.
About damage CPU, it is very unlikely since the phone is brand new like i said, it even has the plastic film over the keypad.
I cant be sure, but it seems to me its a new version of the phone, probably killed by unlock with some other tool that doesnt support this version either, thats my guess. Maybe later on you could come across it and let me know what you find out please.

Hello,

I do not think it's a new phone type, I think it's cable problem or phone hardware problem.
