With official fastboot package from Xiaomi website and latest version of MIUI 12 (flash official files from official website)

You can flash official ROM's, but since factory preloader not allow enter to flash mode, only brom, you get troubles at first step - device will require use bootrom mode and xiaomi auth server.

Thanks again for feedback, the question is if I have dead Redmi Note 8 Pro (boot-loader locked), can I still flash it with CM2MT2?

Make sure about you NOT hold TP long, when device connect in windows - release it at same time.

Only if you have Xiaomi Auth account. We can enable that feature using in our modules.

If it connect without TP - most probably it already damaged by some way. Check device first at overall look inside.
