What do you mean with "extra lte band" ?
Are you sure it's a software feature but not a hw ?

Check chipset specification, is it support them? There are engenier menu inside also, allow programm some stuff too.

This is in an update file that test the modem but doesn't add the bands 12 and 13 att and t-mobile run on band 12 and verizon uses band 13 for lte

Plus from what I been told this cpu which has the modem in it was only used in China and they don't use the same bands for lte we do so it was never programmed to use the bands like another of phone even ones using the same ones we do in the USA they won't have the modem programmed to use bands they don't use

spd 9850k all box dongle fail to reset ,,
cm2 unisoc successfully reseted 9850 ,, useing force reset option

Reconnect Power/Cable!

Operation : Format FS / Reset Settings [ v2.11 ]
Mode : Default [ Reset Settings + FRP ]
BootMode : FLASH

1. Power off device, wait 10-15 seconds
2. Press and hold BooKey ( 1 : BOTH VOL , 2 : VOL+ , 3 : VOL- )
3. Insert cable in device!

Wait for device ...

Device Connected!

>>> Error : Fail to init protocol!

In certain case need enable ForceExt Write option in latform tab for SC9850.
