Info about using Nokia Software Updater

I have N70, when taken from commercial store the firmware was 2.xx TIM Italy, then i successfully updated it with Phoenix to 5.0609.2.0.1 nobrand, then now i tried with Nokia Software Updater to upgrade to 5.0616.2.0.3 but it tell me that i have already up-to-date phone, why?

Thanks.

Because your phone is TIM customized and the SW updater is searching for TIM firmware only.
The lastest version is 5.0609.2.0.1 for TIM.
(There is no TIM customized flash for 5.0616.2.0.3)

You need to change the product code in your phone if you want to upgrade to an not TIM customized 5.0616.2.0.3 firmware.

Thanks for reply, so it means even if i have loaded the 5.0609.2.0.1 nobrand with Phoenix previously, the Nokia Software Updater still always recognize it as 5.0609.2.0.1 customized TIM?
then i must wait for a new TIM customized flash when goes out

Until you doesn't change the product code, the SW Updater will recognise your phone as TIM branded mobile phone, and will searching only for TIM firmwares.

So change your product code with Phoenix....
